§ IIIAquaponics System Design & Installation
Fish and vegetables, grown from the same drop of water.
A4L designs and installs aquaponic systems for individuals, institutions, schools, communities, and farmers who want to produce fish and vegetables in an integrated and sustainable way.
§ IVHow aquaponics works
A small ecology, tuned by hand.
Our systems are designed to save water, recycle nutrients, reduce waste, and produce both fish and crops from a single farming unit. Fish waste feeds the plants. The plants clean the water. The water returns to the fish.
We provide training and technical support so clients can manage their systems with confidence — from cycling the biofilter to harvesting leafy greens, from monitoring water chemistry to scheduling cleanouts.
§ VThe three components
Fish
Catfish or tilapia held in tanks or integrated ponds. Their growth supplies nutrients for the rest of the system.
Water
A continuous, monitored flow links fish, biofilter and plants. Water is reused rather than discharged.
Plants
Leafy greens, herbs, fruiting crops — grown on rafts, gravel beds, or NFT channels.
§ VIWho we build for
A system for nearly every setting.
- Sector 01
Households
Compact units that fit a backyard or rooftop.
- Sector 02
Schools
Learning systems that double as a living biology classroom.
- Sector 03
Institutions
Mid-scale systems for hospitals, NGOs, cooperatives.
- Sector 04
Farms
Commercial units integrated with existing pond infrastructure.
- Sector 05
Community projects
Public installations that feed groups and train them.
- Sector 06
Research partners
Bespoke layouts for trials and applied studies.
§ VIIFrom inquiry to harvest
How a build happens, in five honest steps.
- 01
Site visit
We come to the proposed location. Water access, sunlight, space, infrastructure — all weighed.
- 02
Design
A layout drawn for your scale, budget and crop preferences.
- 03
Build
Tanks, beds, plumbing and electrics — installed and pressure-tested.
- 04
Cycle & train
We cycle the biofilter and train the operator before fish arrive.
- 05
Follow-up
Scheduled check-ins for the first season, and ongoing support after.
